Electronic reading devices are transforming the concept of a book
Digital tools advance beyond screens that talk and play videos, connecting readers to authors and online fan communities.
The electronic format goes far beyond simply reading. The uses far exceed my imagination. Are we really ready to take on the potential of this technology? We already know what has happened as just about anyone with a keyboard has barged into the fiction scene.
Imagine our text books interacting with us. It is already possible to highlight text, make a note and tweet the information without leaving the screen we are reading.
What's that sound? Well, what if your handy gadget could listen and tell you?
Does the e-book market run the risk of loosing focus? Are we ready to go beyond writing and into a sort of team partnership with our readers?
