Agent Andrew Wyle recently announced he was launching Odyssey Editions. His company signed an exclusive deal with Amazon to release 20 ebooks from his (best-selling) clients' backlists.
The Seven Sisters are horrified. They believe that print contracts automatically give them e-rights to the authors' books. Wyle says no. The Author's Guild says no.
