Paul Steven (PS) Gifford was born April 28^th, 1965, in Birmingham, England. From a remarkably early age, Paul was completely fascinated with the written word. By the age of nine he was devouring several books a week, and had begun to write.

In the early 1980's, he and his father relocated to the Californian coast, which he has cheerfully called home ever since.

While in college Paul wrote a few stories but alas, as he got older, writing was relegated onto his hectic life's "back burner" and he barely wrote a word of fiction for over fifteen years. However, in 2004 all this abruptly and delightfully changed. That was the year he realized that, despite a serene, contented existence, an important aspect of his life was missing -- the written word. So, once more he began churning out an abundance of short stories. His first book, "The Curious Accounts of the Imaginary Friend," was released in 2007. And the rest, as they say, is history.

He has two books published thus far. "The Curious Accounts of the Imaginary Friend," is a collection of short horror stories all demonstrating his unique writing style and ability to engage the reader from the very first word.

The second, "Dr. Offig's Lessons from the Dark Side, Vol. 1," is a similar collection, primarily aimed at the young adult crowd. But adults seem to be enjoying it as much as the teenagers, judging from the rave reviews.

He is an extremely busy writer who has several more projects in the works, including follow-ups to both of his books.

P.S. Gifford is a member of the Horror Writer's Association. He lives in Lake Forest, California, is married, has a son, two dogs, a rabbit and an endless dream.
