The Writer's Chatroom Topic Chat: Pixar's Rules of Storytelling
Published: Wed, 05/01/13
We only made it through five of the tips last week, so we'll continue the discussion tonight.
Pixar makes movies that everyone wants to see. How do they make their stories so compelling and universally attention-getting? Last fall, Emma Coats, a Pixar storyboard artist, tweeted 22 storytelling rules that she learned from her Pixar colleagues.

Now, before you say "She's only talking to fiction writers", think again. Many of these rules work for non-fiction writers too, and some of them are essential for marketing. No matter what you write, you're telling a story of some kind.
Join us tonight to learn how to make your story compelling, no matter what that story is. We'll take any other questions you may have in the second hour. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We look forward to chatting with you!
