The Writer's Chatroom Topic Chat: Prompts To Break A Block
Published: Wed, 04/17/13
(Sally Franklin Christie is in charge tonight)
I am participating in a sort of 'dare you to..' I am writing 1,000, words a day during the month of April. The rules are loose and include mentioning what you have been reading.
The story I have is very exploratory, my word for fairly plot-less and the POV characters keep changing.
I look at the exercise, challenge or dare as daily writing prompt.
When I first read this article I thought maybe it would be a good topic for the Writer's Chatroom Boards but I've reconsidered and think we can make a topic out of it on Wednesday.
7 CREATIVE WRITING PROMPTS TO SPARK YOUR WRITINGI don't want us to actually spend the topic hour on writing a full story in the chat room. Lets just have a look at them one at a time and maybe talk about how this prompt is helpful and how the next one could never fit your style.
Join us tonight to discuss prompts for the first hour. We'll take any other questions you may have in the second hour. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We look forward to chatting with you!

Get cash back for the shopping you're going to do anyway.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having problems with your writing? Need plot advice or marketing tips? Looking for suggestions on who/what to read next? Come on in! If we don't know the answer, we'll make something up. We are creative people, ya know.
8 pm EST (check the clock above the login screen) the door will open. Type in the name you want us to call you by, and click the login button. No password needed for scheduled chats.
