Stacey Longo began her writing career as a humor columnist for the Block Island
Times newspaper from 2000-2006. After a conversation with Shroud publisher Tim Deal on October 31, 2009, she decided to try her hand at dark fiction instead of just being a huge horror geek. Since then, she has had over a dozen short stories published, appearing in Shroud, Shock Totem, Malicious Deviance, From Shadows and Nightmares, and most recently alongside Christopher Golden and Rick Hautala in Epitaphs: The Journal of the New England Horror Writers.
Longo has also written and illustrated a children's horror book, Pookie and the Lost & Found Friend, which was published in July 2012 by Farmer's Daughter Press. She is currently collaborating with Kristi Petersen Schoonover on a collection of creepy Connecticut stories, which is due to be released in summer 2013.
Longo maintains a weekly humor blog at her website, www.staceylongo.com .
