Thanks to Widdershins for tonight's topic)

Charles Dickens made his name by doing it. It's how "Sex and the City" got started, along with "Tales of the City". Several current authors are giving it a go, with mixed results. What is it?

How do they work? Usually, you subscribe and get a daily or weekly piece of a longer work. Some authors cut apart a finished novel and sell it in installments. Others (brave souls!) write as they go, taking reader feedback into account and adjusting the story to suit the subscribers.

What does that mean for us? Hard to tell. Drop into chat tonight and share your thoughts.

Join us tonight to discuss serials for the first hour. We'll take any other questions you may have in the second hour.
