The Writer's Chatroom Topic Chat
Published: Wed, 08/31/11
I had a chat topic request. (I love it when people make things easy on me!) So tonight, let's discuss a topic not only writers cringe from...taxes.
More specifically, the things you need to keep track of in your writing business, to make things easy at tax time. Yes, I did say easy. If you properly keep track of your income and expenses when they happen, all you have to do at tax time is total the columns and hand it over to your tax preparer. Or, if you're a little bit braver, use those numbers to fill in the spaces on your tax return yourself.
I've worked in accounting for 30 years, and have had my own accounting business for the past seven years. I know a little bit. So bring your questions and let's see if I can come up with answers! Join us tonight to talk about tax records, for the first hour. We'll take any other questions you may have in the second hour.

Murder, Embezzlement, Betrayal and Silence: If I Should Die is a suspenseful journey into the lives of many people. The choices and impacts are repulsive and inspiring. Silence will never sound the same. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
