Tonight, I'd like to find out what you like about The
Writer's Chatroom, and what you would like to see added. Since our team is
entirely un-paid volunteers, not everything is possible. But we do want to know
what YOU want.
On another topic, I'm wondering about our mailing list
members. There are over 2600 of you who receive our emails, yet our chats only
garner 15-20 people. I'm glad the rest of you read our emails, but I'm
wondering why they draw less than 1% of you into our live chats.
If you read the emails but don't attend chats, please hit
Reply and let me know what you get from the emails. I don't want to stop doing
what you're enjoying!
Do you know about all the other things we have, outside of
the live chats? We have a blog, where we just ran a writing challenge.
(Congratulations again to Skip Miller!) http://writerschatroom.blogspot.com/
We have a 24/7 Discussion Board, where
we also run critique groups. (You can't see the crit groups unless you're a
member. We keep them private to protect First Rights.) http://www.writerschatroom.com/forum
We have tried to run workshops, but that "un-paid
volunteers" problem has made that difficult. We are looking for paid workshops
for the future, and offer 75% to the workshop leader. If you lead a workshop
for writers, and are interested in running it on our Discussion Board, let me
know.
So join us tonight, 7-9 pm ET (NY time) to discuss the
past, present and future of The Writer's Chatroom. We really want to hear your
thoughts!
