At the top left of your manuscript, put your name, followed by preferred email addy for the editor to contact you. Make sure the first page also includes the title of your story, as well as “by” the author name you want to use.
Now click -Edit -Select all. Go to –File –Page set
up.
Settings should be as follows…
Top, bottom, left, and right margins 1 inch apply to whole document.
Set Font at Book Antiqua size 12
Set Paragraphs to full justified. No Indents.
Set lines at double spacing.
No Tabs or indents of any kind. Please remove all tabs and indents. If you have a table of contents undo all Tabs and do as
follows.
No extra blank lines between paragraphs
Use Ctrl enter at the end of every chapter.
Chapters should be titled: Chapter One or name of chapter
Chapter Two
Chapter Three...
No bold, no italics or ALL CAPS please
No headers or footers or page numbers please. The page numbers will change during the final reformatting and will have to be
recalculated.
