As readers, you’ve undoubtedly seen some HORRORble grammar over the years. And you’ve probably been GUILTY of producing some yourself. You may even be APPREHENSIVE about your writing, and SHUDDER when asking someone to proofread your work. When we were students, many of us had an AVERSION to grammar class that created a SHIVER OF FEAR and sometimes even a COLD SWEAT. If we, as intelligent adults, would be asked to name the Eight Parts of Speech, we would be seized by PANIC and even SHEER TERROR.
