On The Premises – Mini Contests

I am a huge fan of flash fiction and short stories.  Writing short stories can be a very satisfying experience.

On The Premises holds mini-contests with very small prizes (and no entry fees) between their short story contests. 
 
I’m using the most recent Mini Contest as an example.
 
Premise: To continue celebrating our tenth anniversary, this mini-contest asked contestants to use no more than 50 words to show, tell, or evoke a complete story in which the number ten or the idea of “tenth” played an important role.
