Virtual book tours (also known as author blog tours) are like in-person book tours except that:

• You don’t have to wear anything nice
• You can do it from your office or home
• There’s no face-to-face contact with the people who want to learn more about your book or its topic
• You can reach waaaaay more people virtually than you can in the real world

Virtual book tours involve providing information about your book or its topic to blogs read by the people you wrote your book for. They are well-suited to just about every genre. If your audience searches for information online (and it probably does — I talked to a 90-year-old over the weekend who said, “I think it’s time I got a computer”), a virtual book tour will help you get exposure for your book.
